Winner Creek Gorge

The Tincan Creek Epic...
Submitted by tim on Mon, 07/05/2010 - 01:13We went out for a quick evening run of Tincan Creek. Starting at 5:30p.m., we got of the water around 10:00p.m. (prior to boating expecting to be on the water about 1 hour total). 1 paddle snapped in half, 1 was lost, there was a hand that looked nearly broken from impact, yet everyone seemed to have an incredible (& gripped) time. Maybe hit the creek a little lower for a first time level next time? HA!!!! Another epic day on the water. The camera battery died at the Throne Room (the 1st set of teacup waterfalls), so this film is pretty short. Enjoy!
Kings River "high water"
Submitted by tim on Wed, 06/02/2010 - 21:07John Cox, Josh Smith, & I ran the Magic Mile & Lower Kings Canyon this past Sunday at high water (between 800-1000cfs). Things were juicy and murky, not the typical aqua marine Kings River most boaters know. The water was very pushy, but still managable with a solid crew. Here's some video footage of the last rapid of Magic Mile ("chunder") & the last rapid of Lower Kings Canyon ("gotta give er"). Enjoy!
Canyon Creek is open!!!!
Submitted by tim on Mon, 05/17/2010 - 20:05Obadiah & I paddled Canyon Creek (from the gravel pit to the take-out) last Sunday. We put in below the normal put-in because the road was still covered with 2 feet of snow. There was only 1 snow bridge, not too far above Saddle Slide. There is still a good amount of snow & ice banks along the shore, making scouting difficult at times, but everything was clean and wood free with at least one line through. We floated out to the 3rd canyon and took out. Water was flowing at 9.9 ft. on the gauge.

Then follow the Dream Result up with our New Horizon movie, an action, story telling, and carnage packed ride through southcentral Alaskan whitewater sure to keep your interest. Bears Tooth April 8th at 8:00p.m. This will probably sell out again, so make sure to get your tickets!!! Come drop by and have a beer with fellow boaters and get stoked for the season! CYA THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! The trailers are below...
Ship Creek Situation & Petition
Submitted by tim on Mon, 11/30/2009 - 11:48Hi everyone,
Most of you have probably heard that I have been summoned to appear in front of a Federal justice at the United States District Court on December 15h for Federal Criminal Trespass convictions that have been allegated against me. I'm meeting with a lawyer next week to prepare myself for a potential trial after the initial court date if need be. Lately, I've been receiving a lot of emails about how people can help or contribute to diffuse the situation and possibly legalize access to this incredibly unique creek that flows out of the Chugach Mountains into Anchorage. For more information on the situation, click on the link below:
Everyone interested in seeing Ship Creek open for future recreational boating should click on the link and sign the petition. Thanks everyone & thanks for all of the people that have been supporting the cause! It is greatly appreciated!
